For the past few years, on Alannah's friend Kaede's birthday, her mom and I take the girls to celebrate at Six Flags Marine World just outside of San Francisco. Its become a bit of a tradition, and I usually don't bring my camera, because we can't leave it anywhere when we go on the rides, but I dug out my old POS and brought it along this year to get some snapshots, and I'm so glad I did.

The girls have been friends since preschool, and although they only see each other a few times are year, they just pick right up where they left off... that's true frienship. Last year they bought matching hats and this year they picked out matching shark mood necklaces. So cute!
After careful planning of rides and shows, the girls would set off, and five paces later get diverted onto a ride along the way! hahaha... it was so funny... they just couldn't decide what they wanted to do or where they wanted to go! We did manage to make some time for cotton candy, strawberry crepes and a stop in the butterfly sanctuary. Unfortunately, by that time, my battery ran out...

Unfortunately, they've outgrown photographing with the characters, this shot was just for the mommies and it is my favorite one of the day!

They grow up soooooo fast! Only 1 month apart, they turn 9 this year! WOW! We must plan something extra special for the big double digits next year!!

Here we are at the end of the day, we picked up some hot pink supergirl capes, and one for Avila too who didn't get to go...

My baby... i love her to bits! It was so fun to hang out with her, she's always been such great company. Its very rare that we get the opportunity to spend time just the two of us... so it was a really special treat!

We've been to marine world so many times, and every time we go, we see something we've never seen, and this time it was the Tiger Show, I've never seen tigers dive in the water... you think you may be safe jumping in the water to get away from them? Think again.

We also got to ride on the brand new ride the "Tony Hawk's Big Spin", and the verdict? Awesome! But the medusa is still my favorite ride.
